Repeat routines

A gymnast may perform the same routine more than once, and again in later rounds.

Scoring

Code of Points

Battle Royale
Battle Royale women are judged at Level 10 under USAG rules. Battle Royale men are judged at Senior FIG rules.
Mini Royale
Mini Royale routines are judged against the USAG Xcel Code of Points.
Judging Panels
Two panels per apparatus, one judge each, evaluating difficulty and execution.The panel structure and the apparatus set are the series' own.

Percentile Scoring

A gymnast is ranked against the others on her own apparatus. That rank converts to points from 0 to 100.

  • First place takes 100 points.
  • Last place takes 0 points.
  • Everyone else lands evenly between.
  • The only entry on an apparatus scores a neutral 50 points.
  • Tied gymnasts share the places they would have occupied and each takes the average. Nobody below them moves.

Deciding Round

If teams tie at the end of a round, a deciding round runs. The steps run in order until the tie breaks.

  1. 1.Total summed execution
  2. 2.Total summed difficulty
  3. 3.Drop the highest routine and recompare

If the tie never breaks, the teams split the prize.

Team Composition

Battle Royale

Minimum 4 gymnasts, no maximum
Age
Must turn 16 by 31 December of the competition year. No upper limit.
Adults
Retired and masters gymnasts still training are welcome.
National team cap
Two national team members per country, and three per team in total.

Gymnasts do not have to do all-around. They may enter their specialist apparatus and may modify routines.

Mini Royale

Level
Xcel Platinum (roughly Development Program Level 7, guidance only)

Minimum 5 gymnasts, maximum 8
Age
13 to 17 years old
Discipline
Women's artistic only

Gymnasts do not have to do all-around. They may enter their specialist apparatus and may modify routines.

General Rules

Open invitational. No federation or national-team membership required.

International teams are welcome.

A gymnast competes for one team at one event.

Pommel horse and parallel bars are not part of this series.

Apparatus in total
Six distinct apparatus across eight discipline slots. Vault and floor are shared.
Mixed teams
A mixed team may enter two on women's floor and two on men's floor. Vault is the only apparatus where the women's and men's caps are a single shared limit.

Coaches

  • NCCP Level 2 or equivalent
  • Safe Sport certification

Floor access requires both, in the applicable discipline.

Judges

  • National or Brevet status
  • Safe Sport course

Apparel

Singlet
No singlet requirement.
Team kit
A team's kit must match.
Compression
All athletes must be in compression. Baggy clothing draws a Code of Points deduction.
Captain
Each team names a captain.

Where to register
Register at Gym Art Meets:
Team name
On the platform, a club name is the team name.
Payment
Pay by card or e-transfer. The spot is not held until payment completes.
